New HIV drug kills 99 per cent of virus during first human trial

A new HIV drug created by Israeli researchers has passed its first human clinical trial.

At end of the trial, it was discovered that the drug, named Gammora, created by Zion Medical, an Israeli biotech company was capable of wiping out 99 per cent of HIV infected cells in the human body.

Human-like robot with emotions, personality and mood unveiled in Singapore

Scientists at Nanyang Technological University in
Singapore have unveiled "Nadine," a socially
intelligent, human-looking robot complete with "her
own personality, mood and emotions," according to
a university news release.
The humanoid "receptionist" was presented at a
new media showcase Tuesday at NTU, where her
human creator, professor Nadia Thalmann, predicted
that "physical social robots such as Nadine are
poised to become more visible in offices and
homes in future."

An Appeal Court has declared the candidate of the
All Progressive Grand Alliance, Mr Alex Otti, the
winner of the Abia State Governorship election.
The court in its ruling on Thursday ordered the
swearing in of Mr Otti, as governor of Abia State
and asked Mr Okezie Ikpeazu to vacate the office.
Mr Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party was
declared winner of the election held in April by the
Independent National Electoral Commission.

Over 13 killed in twin bomb blast in Maiduguri today

At least 13 people have been confirmed dead following twin explosions that
rocked Baga road in Maiduguri, Borno state today June 22nd. The bomb attacks were carried out by two female suicide bombers. One of the female suicide bombers blew herself up around the Baga market area while the second one detonated the bomb strapped on her inside the market. Most of the victims killed were women and children.
