Viktor Chirkov told reporters on
Monday.
Presently, the Russian Navy has only
one aircraft carrier - the Admiral
Kuznetsov - since 1991.
"The Navy will have an aircraft carrier.
The research companies are working
on it, and strictly in compliance with
the requirements from the Chief
Commander," he said during a trip to the Kolomensky Zavod plant near
Moscow (a supplier of diesel engines
for the Russian Navy).
