The mummies that emerged from the snow: Two bodies - thought to be the remains of climbers who vanished in avalanche 55 years ago - are found on Mexico's highest peak

Climbers made the gruesome discovery of the two bodies (pictured) just 1,000 feet below the peak of Pico de Orizaba, Mexico's highest mountain, earlier this week. It is thought they are the remains of two Mexicans who disappeared after an avalanche 55 years ago. However, the bodies still need to be removed from the mountainside so DNA tests can be carried out.
