President Petro Poroshenko on
Thursday signed a decree banning
Russians movies and TV series
promoting Russia's security agencies.
"Any d
istribution of any films which
contain popularisation or promotion of any actions of [Russian] law enforcers, armed forces and other power structures is prohibited in Ukraine," the decree says.
On February 5, the Verkhovna Rada,
the country's parliament, imposed
serious restrictions on the distribution of movies and TV series released after 1991 about the Russian armed forces calling them "a threat to Ukraine's national security."
